[OB] Is this list alive?

Today's thread made me nostalgic for the robust day's of old and inspired me to submit an OB425 question. I have two, one with a buttery smooth keyboard, that worked without a problem when I put them on the shelf a year or so ago. I tried to revive both recently but they won't start up. I asked the list a few months back if there was an internal battery that needed replacement. The only responses I got suggested charging the units for an extended period. I did so for a week or more. No luck. Any ideas about reviving these beloved notebooks or should I display one as an art piece in my NYC apartment and jettison the other?

>The incredible part is that even though the world of computers has advanced so much since I first got my Omnibook 300, there is still nothing like it, unless I'm willing to use a shrunken keyboard and 3-hour battery life, like the Asus. And incredibly, with the OB300 pcmcia support, I can still use the thing to effortlessly write and transfer files.
