Denver?!?! My hometown ... the beautiful Queen City of the Plains ... Mr. Larimer's haunted burg.

When I left Denver it was still larger than Phoenix, and if some forgotten soul happened to have to work late downtown, past 6:30 pm say, they would find tumbleweeds (literally) making their way down a pre-mall 16th Street.

Denver sure isn't that town anymore, eh?

Anyway, I'm in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. When someone boasts about the power of their notebook computer, I often boast that my computer "has 2 megabytes of RAM, a 286 processor, and runs for 12 hours on four AA batteries."

The incredible part is that even though the world of computers has advanced so much since I first got my Omnibook 300, there is still nothing like it, unless I'm willing to use a shrunken keyboard and 3-hour battery life, like the Asus. And incredibly, with the OB300 pcmcia support, I can still use the thing to effortlessly write and transfer files.

I'm looking forward to the day when I can go back to my OB full time, which means I no longer have to research things on the internet, and I can simply write physics. By the way, is there a decent LaTex editor that will work on a stock OB300?
