...holding onto our ancient obsolete black-and-white LCD Omnibooks.
No. We were visionaries.
Does anyone still recall the the multi-day discussion that took place several years back, musing over what we'd like to see in a laptop (before we'd give up our b/w OB's)? Folding keyboards, folding screens, etc.?
I picked up a roll-up keyboard (crappy feel, but there ya go) at Staples on closeout several weeks ago.
And now: high res, high daylight visibility, folding screens are on their way ...and they're cheaper to manufacture, too. Read about it here: tinyurl.com/3f7yr4 (link is to a Telegraph.co.uk website ...a Brit' newspaper).
...too bad that marvelous engineering team at the HP Oregon skunk works have (probably) long since retired.
