[OB] Is USB 1.1 possible on Win95 OB800?

Hi Russ
...just catching up with OB mail.
I have just reinstalled Win95B SR2 OS on my 2gbyte SD Memory (replacement
for Hard Disk); and yes! It works just fine. I don't know why I keep
swapping between W95 and W98 - the final outcome is always the same for me.
My experience has been that Win95 can be 'fussy' about accepting
non-standard applications? Also, I haven't found any significant difference
in performance between W95 and W98? With USB, I can use a scroll mouse and
avoid having to use a serial mouse (which I sometimes use with W95) which I
find sometimes to be unreliable (only the Paw working or vice-versa).
Sadly, I have given up using the OB800 on-line for two reasons: antivirus
software; and installing all the W98 updates (which certainly does slow down
W98!).
Has anyone considered antivirus scanning their OB using a 'share' - with
their desktop PC running the antivirus software e.g. Sophos? Would this
find/repair Windows 98 viruses?
Steve

Thanks to all 4 of you for your input. Time vs. money, I think that
Sally has the best solution considering that everyone else posted
that it wasn't worth the headache or that the USB package included in
the Win95B SR2 OS is supposedly flawed and will not work. I already
have a PCMCIA flash card adapter. I will just have to get a card
reader for my desktop. I really like the Cruzer-mini package that
when capped fits in any pocket and universally fits into almost any
PC machine. I will get over it. If I don't I will upgrade to Win98 SE.
Again, Many Thanks,
Russ
